The Senior Tax Accountant is responsible for managing the internal tax return compliance process, which includes, tax planning, tax research, tax return review (Federal, State, Payroll and Sales Taxes) and acting as a liaison between company and external tax preparer. In addition, the ideal candidate must also have extensive knowledge of business structures and be able to make recommendations on the proper tax and accounting treatment for each business formation.

Qualified candidates have the following skills and experience:

  • BA/BS in Accounting or Finance related degree
  • Advanced degree, Master’s in taxation preferred
  • Licensed CPA or EA
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in tax planning, tax compliance and/or financial planning
  • Must have knowledge of General Accepted Accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Experience with complex tax, accounting, and financial issues
  • Strong organizational, computational, and analytical skills
  • Excellent time and project management skills
  • Strong professional judgement skills
  • Developed skills in self-management and prioritization
  • Strong research skills
  • Excellent human relations and communications
  • Proficiency in multiple software applications including Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks
  • Very detail oriented and able to function in a fast-paced environment with the ability to take initiative and be flexible
